It was an absolute pleasure to work with these two amazing chefs, Todd Schafer #abelbrownsouternkitchen and his awesome staff, and Philippe Erramuzpe the last two days feeding hungry folks in our community a hot meal at the Sand Hills Community Center. Philippe is one of those cats I always wanted to work with when I was a young sprout learning my way around a kitchen. I hate that this is how I finally got my chance, but I will take it.These two guys snapped into action when their community needed them most. Thanks to the amazing volunteers as well that showed up for 3 days straight to help serve over 1,200 meals. A big thanks to my amazing wife Natalie Maul Williams for jumping in too. Good morning Augusta! We want to take a moment to thank our dedicated staff, the line workers, tree companies, and restoration services as well as our local service crews for their hard work during this difficult time. It has been challenging for us all and will be a tough road ahead to recovery. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in communities across the southeast dealing with the aftermath of this hurricane. Our hearts are broken for our friends in North Carolina and Florida. It`s hard for us here to think outside of our own community right now, but please know we are thinking about you too.
I wanted to provide a quick update on Roux`s Catering. We are busy this week feeding those doing the hard task of fixing our broken city. We will be closed for normal operations the rest of this week, but will be back in full swing next week. Both of our venues The Foundry at Rae`s Creek and The Marbury Center are open and ready to serve your needs. We understand several venues across Augusta have been impacted by the storm and cannot open at this time. Let us know if we can help.
